Joanna Moritz

Joanna has been training animals since she was about 10 years old, when she discovered that her pet rat would do tricks for treats. For the last 11 years she has been working professionally with dogs and, more recently, parrots, using positive reinforcement training. She has a degree in psychology, and is certified through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, and a member of the American Federation of Aviculture and Association of Animal Behavior Professionals. She also has years of experience in various forms of (human) teaching and tutoring. Because of her experience and because she works hard to stay current in the latest techniques and research, Joanna has a thorough understanding of behavior and psychology, and the ability to apply it seamlessly to improve the animal/human relationship. She currently shares her home with two Amazon parrots, three dogs, four rats, and two cats. Joanna owns Fur and Feather Works. |
