Advanced and Excellent Rally
The Advance Rally class is for dogs that have completed the Novice Rally class or have earned a Rally title. This class focuses on learning and executing the AKC Advance and Excellent level exercises as well as progressing to off leash work. Class consists of learning the Advance and Excellent level Rally signs, learning the skills required to perform all the exercises, improving execution of the Novice level exercises, working advance level courses, and practicing basic obedience skills required to be successful in Rally. In addition to learning the exercises, we will discuss the rules and scoring in the advance and excellent levels and continue to learn the differences between AKC and APDT Rally-O, UKC and ASCA Rally programs. Handlers can expect to do weekly homework practicing these skills in order to keep up with the class. Video tape will be used on some of the full course practices, so that handlers can see how they are doing with their dogs.
